5am early moring recent days bright star 15 degrees above eastern horizon could it be venus or another planet/star

It is Venus, and it should be the brightest object in the sky, excluding the moon. Try looking at it through a telescope, you will see it cast phases just like the moon.

It is the planet Venus, which has recently moved into the morning sky where it will stay for the next few months.
