I met this one guy who had almost no friends and I decided to befriend him. For 1 year and 6 months, I laughed at his unfunny jokes, tolerated his annoying laugh, but now he keeps wanting to be with me but he spends all his time insulting me and trying to make fun of me. He's gotten to my last nerve. How do I get rid of him without hurting him (his mom and mine are friends so if I say anything too mean, my mom will never stop riding me)

When you are around him be so boring and lifeless as you can be. Act as if you can hardly stay awake. No one likes to be around a bore....you know that! If that doesn't work, then have something going all the time with someone else. Somewhere he can't be. Just keep putting him off. What ever
you think he might hate doing, well that's what you are going to do. if none of this works then you will probably just have to tell him that you are moving ahead and you won't see him anymore.

Well, that certainly sucks. But you need to give yourself some space between you and your "friend". If he asks you to hang out with him, tell him you have other things planned or you're just too busy. Once you develop that space, it will be a lot easier to simply "get rid of him without hurting him"
