Let the 3rd angle be x, so

2nd angle is 4x.

We know that the angle sum of any triangle is 180, so

20 + x + 4x = 180, s0

20 + 5x = 180, so

5x = 160, so

x = 160/5, so

x = 32.

Hope this helps, Twiggy.

OK Angles of a triangle add up to 180 degrees.
Angle A =20 deg.
Therefore Angle B + Angle C = 180-20 =160 deg.
Let measurement of Angle B =x
Measurement of Angle C=4x
x + 4x= 160. so 5x=160.
x=160/5= 32.
Angle C =32x4=128.
To check. Angle A + Angle B + Angle C must =180deg
20deg+32deg+ 128deg = 180 degrees.
Angle C (the third angle) is 128 degrees .Hope this helps.

every triangle has a total of 180 degrees.

so if you subtract what you already know (20) from the 180, and then divide that by five (because the third angle is x, and the second angle is 4x because it's four times as much. so added together it's 5).

when you divide it by five you get the value of x (the measurement of the third angle.
