If you write out the two numbers, you will see that:

200 Billion = 200,000,000,000
200 Thousand Million = 200,000,000,000

They are the same.

In the US, that's absolutely true. In countries that use the long scale, it would be false. In one of those countries, 200 billion would be equal to 200 million million (Americans would call that 200 trillion).

Depends on the number system, the old European system said that would be 200 milliards, or thousand millions. Accepted standard internationally now is 200 Thousand Million
