EXCLUDING the Bible because I do not classify that a a regular book but rather a spiritual journey into the past, present and furture.

Agrippa's Daughter
by Howard Fast
It is an exquisite story of ancient times about the daughter of King Agrippa in the land of Israel prior to the destruction of the second temple and their exile of the jews from their homeland. It is based on facts from history rather than taken from the bible. I couldn't put the book down.

NO TIME FOR SERGEANTS
By Mac Hyman
This was the funniest book I have ever read.
I would read it everyday on the bus going to work and laugh so hard that people would just stare at me. Being from a military family (Marine Corp) I was able to relate to many of the descriptions in the book (even though it was Army).
Biggest disappointment the "MOVIE".

....The Best Book I have not read ........
Edmonde Charles-Roux novel Oublier Palermo
Better known as ; "The Palermo Connection" I have not been able to find I think perhaps it might have been a screen play although it is called a novel.
................NOTE..................
The books are always better but the movie left me in total suspense until the very end . I'm an armchair detective and I ALWAYS solve the myster prior to the ending. NOT THIS THIS TIME. That is why I want to read the book.

MUCH MORE INFORMATION THAN YOU ASKED FOR.......

"ROOTS" by Alex Haley

I loved this book. Yes it is a long book but I was proud that I read such a long book. It was a learning experience. I liked that there were many generations and it taught me about the tribal life in Africa many years ago as well as about black slavery in the U.S.
I would definitely recommend it!

1984 by George Orwell. It made me think and the similarities between their culture and ours was very chilling. A very eye-opening read.
