It's very helpful to ask for feedback; you don't have to know everything to be a good boss. Ask your employees what they think, and they'll respect you for it. I always am sure to explain why I do or do not take their advice. It's always good to get another perspective, especially from the ones that are the front lines.

The best managers get feedback because they realize the subordinates are the ones doing the real work .

It only works , however , if management actually has listening skills & implements necessary changes .

Those supervisors faking it to look involved tank early .
