I replaced the Heater Core and the hoses going to it get hot. I Turn the Heat selector to hot and it still stays cold. What have I over looked or what could be wrong.

try the main control unit on the inside of the car, make sure its working they will often go bad and wont allow the actuator door to open and that wont let the heat come out,you could also have a bad heater control valve in it,they mount in between the heater hoses on some models, and this will prevent heat from getting in,but you said the hoses are getting hot,so it has to be the inside control unit ,you may have to replace it,to get any heat from it,its that time of year, and every ones having problems with their heaters now, good luck with it.

There is a "blend door" that opens one way or the other (heat - A/C) to regulate the amount of air that goes through either to warm or cool the cabin.

The control is loose or disconnected.
You'll just have to look around to see if something is loose around the heater box.
