I have some pieces of broken family china that I would love to make jewelry out of. Can someone please tell me how? What kind of silver is used around the outer edges? Any instructions would be appreciated. Thanks.

The designs I've seen use copper foil around the sharp edges. This is available in any stain glass store. It has adhesive side that you fold over each side of the broken china piece, covering the entire edge ( it is also available in silver). This site will go into detail how it is done. ( I hope i get this long address right )

It didn't work. Just go to the DIY network web and do a search for broken china jewelry. Sorry I couldn't get you straight there.

The craft store has different gauges of wire. You would choose a width that looks good with the sizes of china pieces, and how delicate you want the jewelry to be. Any beading magazine or website will be able to show you the techniques for wrapping the china, and then how to apply pinbacks or other findings to make pendants, earrings et cetera. Have fun!
