Before you judge me, please know that these babies are from a rape and i was a virgin until that night. I am having twin girls and i think i know what names i want, but many people say that they can tell a teenage girl made them up! That i may like them now, but i won't when im older. My mom likes them, but i want some opinions from other adults:
Laityn Olivia
Brynli Madison or McKinley Sophia
Please be honest!

I could never even think about giving these girls up for adoption, i already love them so much! My parents are taking financial responsibility until i am out of college and into the working world. Since my dad is retired, he will be watching them while i am in school!

I'm so sorry some people on here are being kind of rude to you. Hon, I got pregnant with twins when I was 17. While it was not rape (I was engaged to him and am now 20 years old and married to him-expecting our 3rd baby in April), I do understand the rape ordeal as it happened to me when I was 13. First, I really admire you for being brave enough and having the courage to choose to give your babies life. So many others would abort, which I do not support at all. You will do just fine and you have the help and support of your family. Don't let others put you down or tell you that you will be a bad mother. They cannot judge you.
That being said, I would suggest you go with whatever names you feel would be best. Some words of advice are not to choose spellings that are too crazy, and I think it's best not to pick the most popular names in the world. Personally, I like the name Brynli, but I would spell it differently. (Maybe Brinley.) I also like the name Makinna. The names I chose for my girls were Joleigh Kaydence and Aaralyn Rayne. They are different, but not so far out there that people have to second-guess what they are named. I know you will come up with the most perfect names for your little ones. I wish you all the best-take care of yourself and don't let others put you down.

I'm so sorry that that happened to you.
There not the best but i can work with them...
Laitlyn Olivia- Latilynn sounds very made up and is not cute in any way but I love the name Olivia. What about Olivia Katlynn or Olivia Lynn?
Brynli Madison- Brinli? Is that even a name? Madison i don't like either. What about something like Briana Madilynn or Madilynn Bree?
McKinley Sophia- McKinley is more of a last name but Sophia is super cute! What about Mickayla Sophia or Sophia Mae?

Sorry, but I don't care for the first names. How do you even pronounce Laityn?
As a rule of thumb, if you find yourself having to spell a name, or explain it, or repeat it when telling people....it may not be the best idea.
McKinley just reminds me of the president, whom many schools are named after! Brynli is actually the one that sounds the best. If you could come up with a more straightforward way to spell it.
Olivia, Madison, Sophia are all beautiful names. Sophia was actually a very close second for my daughter's name!
A few suggestions.......Linley, Marley, Morgan.
I applaud your bravery and commitment. I have a 14 yr old niece and my heart aches for you! I wish you the best of luck.

Okay, honestly, I think in part, they are all fine. But Laityn and Brynli is just too out there for my tastes. If you must go with Brynli, I would seriously consider changing the spelling to Brinley, Brinlee, or Brynlee.
I do love Olivia, Madison and Sophia, though.
If it were me, I'd tone down the "unique" value some. Your child will be unique, no matter what name you give them. Why give them a name people will mispronounce or misspell just to make that point.
Also, keep in mind that your child's name needs to be something that will work for a small child AND an adult. To tell you the truth, I hear the name "Brynli" and do not think "capable adult." I think "kindergartener". I'm more a fan of standard names, and unique nicknames that the child can choose to let go of if he or she wishes to, when they grow up.
But, yeah, I agree with the people who told you it sounds like a teenage girl made them up.

Try not to get too fancy. Of the names you listed, I think Olivia, Madison, and Sophia work. The others not so much.
Those names (Olivia, Madison, Sophia) are uncommon already (at least I haven't seen them often), and those would make good first names. Easy to pronounce and spell.
Try to ease up on the Y and I things, and avoid strange spellings. I have seen so many baby girls with random letters in their names (usually y and i), and I pity them.
Go to a baby name website and search for different names, or names similar to the ones you like. Example: I know a girl named Brynn, so maybe you could try that instead of Brynli.
Here is my favorite baby name web site:
http://www.babynamesworld.com/
It tells you names by origin, meaning, and even rates them. Lets you know if they are male or female or can be used as both too.
Best wishes!

Try to put the rape behind you - and think about the babies. They didn't ask to be born into this situation and are as much a victim as you are, please keep that in mind. You are a brave little soul to keep those babies, they are still part of you. More people (adults) should be as adult as you are at 14.
Now, as far as the names go, I do not like Laityn, when I hear it, it just sounds negative somehow kind of like the word latent. I like the name Olivia, but just recently had someone tell me it reminds them of Olive Oyl (Popeye's girlfriend to be exact) and Sophia (Fea is ugly is spanish, she may get teased) I like Madison and McKinley (which is more of a man's first name or a last name). Brynli reminds me of Gimli (Lord of the Rings Troll). How about Brynn Leigh and Maddi Sonia
How about:
Bryna (it means strong one) Rain (abundant blessings from above) - Bryna Rain
and
Minna (it means strong-willed warrior) Sian (God's Gracious Gift) - Minna Sian

I'm sorry to read about what happened to you. May God bless you with the ability to be a great mom.
I think Sophia and Olivia would be cute first names for twins, out of the names you listed. Those names have been popular in the past and will continue to be popular in the future.
I'm not really fond of Laityn or Brynli. Honestly, I'd have a hard time saying them correctly!

In the future, when you are about 50, you might start looking into your geneology (family's history). And at that time you might well wish that you had named the girls after some of your family's females, such as your grandmother's names.
It's an old tradition to do that, and for several good reasons, including respect for them. Think about it. Maybe you could ask your parents what those names are, that have come down the line in your family over the years. You might even like some of them!
As for the names you picked, I like in this order:
Madison
Sophia
McKinley
Olivia
I don't like the other two at all, and they probably are the ones that sound like a girl made them up. True, isn't it?

I'm sorry for what you went through... I happen to think McKinley Sophia is adorable!!! I like names that aren't on the top 20 lists of popular names.
What about:
Marissa Grace and McKinley Sophia
or you can go with any of these names:
Addison
Brynn
Brenna
Brielle
Clara
Ella
Elise
Elisa
Fiona
My sister's name is Briana and its pretty also spelled like Brianna or Breanna
My niece's name is Isabella.
Just some suggestions. Good luck with your twins and God bless!
