Watch CLASSIC movies with acclaimed actors. (Meryl Streep is one of the best). Practice reading plays aloud, or have play readings with a group of friends. You can read books on acting, but to put the ideas into practce, you must take a class. Work in community theatre. Theatre is a collaborative art.

How do you know you are pretty good? What have you done outside of home to find out? Don't only work at home.
You can practice accents and reading (aloud to get the intonation) at home. Also, read as many plays as possible. To act, you will need to understand the use of language (in all aspects, including body language). Try to learn how to read between the lines on everything you read, not just plays. Even magazines have a subtext, find it.

Watch good acting is about it. You need to be in plays to increase you skills and you need to take professional classes to learn about the industry. You could use some guided reading, but only a couple of books are any good, they rest are full of baloney.
