I would like suggestions of neighbourhoods where I could blend in and be safe at the time if I net this job. Can some one help me with suggestions? I know absolutely nothing and what to be a bit careful.

I would check out the neighbor hood where the job is located very carefully, and if it checks out OK, then move close to your job. This country has it's problems but I think you will fit in beautifully and add to the beauty of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, THE HOME OF THE FREE AND THE BRAVE.I used caps to emphasize my love of my country, I'm not yelling at anyone, that's love for you and we would love to have you join us.

Which state, which city? The best thing to do is go and look at the U.S. Census site or just google some other areas. That's how I found the place that I live after having been dislocated by Katrina.

Just for a pointer, it's best to live outside the major cities. For instance, I live outside a major city where the population is low and the crime rate is low. Just use Google to find out about the major cities; then, go to www.mapquest.com to search for areas outside those city limits and to find out how far of a drive it would be.

Below the other two sites I listed is another site that gives the safest places to live.

Umm The U.S. is a big country...It'd help if you give a little info where the job is at. And dont listen to everyone else, all the cities arent that bad. There safe areas in almost every city, but many decide to live in suburban areas..

--Id choose California over W. Virginia. California is diverse but very expensive in many areas.

Every town has sections where it is safe and sections where it is dangerous. Depending on where you are going to work would be a big help.
here is a link that shows many cities and their crime rates in each state of the US.

Generally out in the rural areas are safest but cause the longest commute to work. Where are you thinking of working?

They'll eat you alive there. They will brainwash you with McDonalds commercials that pass ever commercial break. Just say NO to the U.S.! Finding a better job in another country is your best bet at safety for you and your brain!

Yeah, why not. It would be nice to maove to a new place for awhile and see new interesting things. As in neighborhoods it would depend on where your job is at. Good Luck.

You don't say where this job is! Wherever it may be, you can contact the Chamber of Commerce in that town. They can give you their suggestions. Good luck to you.
