Please answer this in a simple way because I've looked at all of the questions about network keys and i still don't understand how to find them...and that 192.168.0.1 thing doesn't work. I don't understand what i do with it after i put it in my adress bar...do i press enter because if so my webpage just goes to google intead soo please help me!!

at the top of your browser you need to type http://192.168.0.1

You need to use the browser on your Desktop to connect to the router. Go to your desktop, open the browser and type in http://192.168.0.1 and press enter. You may be asked for a password if one was put in when the router was set up.

If you have an actiontec modem, this link might help you get where you need to see the key...

If you mean the wireless encryption key, that's in the router. Else, I have NO IDEA what you mean by "desktop network key".

If you do mean the wireless WPA encryption key, you need to access your wireless router's config in order to locate the key or to reset the key. Your network admin should have the key, and you should have set it up when you setup the router. Instructions are different for different routers, so without more detailed info we can't be sure we can help you. The 192.168.1.1 is the USUAL way to reach the wireless router if you're connected to it on the network, but it's NOT the only place it can be.

try one of the following

192.168.2.1
192.168.1.1
192.168.1.0
192.168.2.0

and if you get there click on security or password(or something similar)
