The paper loads incorrectly and jams every time I try to print. I've taken the printer apart and want to know what to look for to try to repair the printer on my own. Has anyone done this before or are technical enough to explain it to me? Thanks!

Without any model numbers, I can only refer you to

The short explanation: the "separater pads" that picks up the paper from the feed tray has dried out or covered with paper dust (same with the rollers) that it won't "grab" the paper any more reliably. A bit of cleaning may help, if you can find those feed pads.
