When I lived in Key West, FL, I went diving in only a swimsuit, no wet suit, during the Christmas, New Years, and Easter periods. But now I live in Western Virginia and it was 40 F last night. I just built a fire in the fireplace.
Oh yes, I was born and raised in Florida, Daytona Beach, St. Augustine, Jax beaches, Green Cove Springs. Had all the sunburns I care to have, don't like tanning either. But I do enjoy a nice warm day.
Evenings when the temp is between 75 and 78 and a gentle breeze make for what I call "silky" air, it just flows so sensuously over the body.

Yes North Florida is still in the high 80's and at night only down to 72 or so. We too are still keeping the pool in use. I don't sunbathe like I did when I was younger but a few minutes everyday helps with the vitamin D. Plus tan looks healthy the same way a little fat plumps up the wrinkles.

it is certainly warm enough, but I do not do the tan thing...I wear a tank top most of the time, and have a permanent tan on my shoulders, neck, and upper shoulders. when I take it off, it looks like I am wearing a white tanktop..not one of the better looks, trust me on that one! :-) The pool is certainly warm enough, but as for swimming, this pool is a total waste of money and time...you want a pool, come and get it...it is very, very big! I was thinking of having it removed, but at 20K for a removal fee, I decided it was my backyard private lake, planted accordingly and I must admit, at night, with the lighting, it is beautiful...but it is still a very expensive hole in the ground...very expensive to keep the filters running, the chemicals going, and the cleaning weekly. Given the choice, NO POOLS!

It's about 100 degrees out on the patio right now. Pool temp is 78 degrees. I think I just might go in for a dip after the Dodgers' game. After 25 years of living in the Las Vegas area, with 340+ days of sunshine a year I've become the "Mahogany Norwegian". LOL!

Indeed, it is still hot enough here to get sunburned! I stay out of the sun as much as possible as I am on medication which does not allow me to be in the sun.
Yes, I used to hit the pool. Now, I am considering having an endless pool put into my sunroom! It is great exercise and my favorite thing to do!

Well, you wouldn't get frostbitten here in Toronto, but you would definitely be cold! Our temperature right now is 17C or 64F.
When I was a young teenager, my sister and I would climb up onto the roof in April on sunny days and strip down to our underwear to tan. The black roof was always wonderfully warm on our backs even though the ambient temperature of the air was around 50 - 55 degrees Fahrenheit!

Yes, it's a little cooler today, but still warm enough for a swim. We live out in the country now, so I don't get to go much. I loved to go to the pool when we lived in apts or to the beach when we were there.

I'm in South Carolina & it's still hot here, so there's lots of time for pool time & tanning for those who choose to do so. :)
