The start of ''Saving Private Ryan'' was good in that respect, as are any of the ''Lord of the Rings'' films.

I mean 'set piece battles' not 'one on one ' scenes with few actors (Kill Bill is good for that).

So, which is best?

well there's the Star Wars series for those epic space battles. If you're interested in seeing a few Naval battles go see either one of the Pirates movies (though they could have taken the fighting a whole lot further) or Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World. For those old land battles you could try Braveheart, Troy, 300 (of course), or Ran (Akira Kurosawa) . But if you want more "modern" kinds of battles you should see Apocalypse Now, A Bridge Too Far, Tora! Tora! Tora!, Black Hawk Down, Enemy at the Gates, Starship Troopers (lot of action there), Glory, Flags of Our Fathers/Letters from Iwo Jima, and that's all I can think of at the moment.

Enjoy :)

Martha's way #7: treatment for issues: Take a lime, cut back it in a million/2 and rub it on your brow. The throbbing will circulate away. the real females's way #7: Martha, expensive, the only reason this works is considering you won't be in a position to rub a lime on your brow without needing lime juice on your eye, and then the concern isn't the headache anymore, that's considering you at the instant are BLIND! LOL!!!! Thx for the chortle!!!

I watched Black Hawk Down for the first time two nights ago.
It had to be the baddest battle I have ever seen . Based on a true story it just floored me. I say Two Thumbs up and not if you have a sensitive tummy

IOh sorry I was going to answer that but I ventured into the wrong category by mistake. I should have been in Gender>women's studies then I could have spoke long and hard about things I don't know anything about.
