It is vital that children be exposed to technology in school.
First, it provides a powerful tool for obtaining information.
Second, they will need to use technology in almost any field.
All employment, beyond physical labour, requires technology.
In fact, physical labour may well be replaced by robots.

I would say it expands learning further. Last year in my middle school, most classes had "smart boards" where you could attach it on to a laptop and it would project on it the screen and you could touch it and draw on it and stuff so when the teacher did a lesson, it was more "exciting" or so you could say.
