Money is innocent.
It's when you'll do anything to get money that's evil.

As someone already said the true saying is "the love of money is the root of all evil." I don't necessarily know if I believe that is true. Some evil people want to harm and maim others for their own pleasure. They do not have the love of money, but the love of cruelty.

No - I do not believe that money is the root of all evil.
The LOVE of money, is the root of all evil.
Money when used as a tool for life such as paying your bills or doing good like giving to charitable organizations is only money. But when the LOVE of money becomes the center of everything that you do than it becomes evil. When you exclude everything and everyone from your life in the pursuit of money you now have created an idol. ( Which breaks the first commandment. You shall have no other Gods before me.)
Once we replace our moral compass (no matter what your religion) with material things we start living for ourselves and never consider the rest of humanity.
Where would the victums of hurricane Katrina be if money wasn't given to aid and rebuild?
Where would the family whose house burned last week be if no one gave clothing or helped with shelter and other basic needs.
Where would our own family be if we didn't pay our mortgage/rent or utilities?
When we love money at the exclusion of our fellow human beings than WE are well on our way to being evil, hence the root of evil is money.

Money itself is not the root of all evil, but the love of money is. The Bible tells us this in I Timothy 6:10:

Certainly, the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people who have set their hearts on getting rich have wandered away from the Christian faith and have caused themselves a lot of grief.

No money is good sometimes. Everyone needs some money. If you love money more than people, then yes money is the root of your evil.

Money is the root for MOST Evil. About 75% of evil is thanks to $, the other 25% is composed of Racism and other bad encounters with people.

Sometimes people care more about money and will do anything to get it but for some people its perfectly fine.
