I'm Canadian and from what I've seen and heard from American relatives, media, etc. I'd say the best thing from my point of view is the beauty and diversity of the land itself and the relative freedom afforded to the citizens.
The worst, in my opinion, is the extreme bias in the media as well as the red state/blue state divide that has ensured that certain parties and politicians, though they govern the whole country, are only representative of the concerns of half the citizens.

The best is the American " can do " attitude. The worst is the American attitude that everyone else aspires to have their culture and way of life. That's why Americans are disliked all over the world - that superior attitude about "we are the best". A little humility would be nice.
I'm Canadian and we have eveything you have but we also have humility. And having travelled the world I can say we are revered and welcomed everywhere.

The best thing is the extensive freedoms we have--including being able to criticize the government without fear of reprisal.
The worst thing....free enterprise + health care has created a health care MONSTER, that is crushing the middle class.
