They are a drain on the economy.
"Households headed by illegal aliens imposed more than $26.3 billion in costs on the federal government in 2002 and paid only $16 billion in taxes, creating a net fiscal deficit of almost $10.4 billion, or $2,700 per illegal household. I am an old fart 53 and when I was growing up a convicted criminal had no rights. As far as I am concerned someone in the process of continually committing a crime against the laws of the USA has no rights what-so-ever. Anyone who supports those criminals are aiding and abetting and also should have no rights. Every last one of both groups should be rounded up and shipped somewhere they will not just walk back. Dafur or Mogadishu both would be good.

Undocumented immigrants pay taxes? This is news to me since all tax forms I see require a social security or id number of some sort. My husband is a british immigrant, not yet documented and I have to file single because he has no paper trail here in the states to be identified with.

Have you heard that Mexico is rounding up and forcibly deporting illegals from neighboring countries like Guatemala, etc?

Then Mexico complains that Mexicans are getting a bad rap in the U.S.

Talk about hypocrisy of the highest order.
Edit: I just heard that the Mexican lobby wants to require Congress to serve taquitos in their cafeteria.

Far from being a social drain, the presence of undocumented people makes a net of positive contribution to the U.S. economy. According to the National Immigration Forum, undocumented immigrants pay about $7 billion annually in taxes. Some taxes paid by the undocumented, including $2.7 billion annually to Social Security, and $168 million into the unemployment benefits funds, are direct subsidies to these systems, since undocumented workers cannot, by law, collect any benefits for their contributions. Wouldn’t you get mad if you were working hard, paying taxes, Social security, and giving to the unemployment benefits, and not receive a penny from it when you need it? That sucks! But still undocumented people are not valued for any of those things. Yet they act like true citizens, but cannot be labeled true citizens!
why can't they have rights if they pay taxes, and do as if they were cititzens. if they don't have rights then why are they doing the job of a citizen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have no legal rights, it is some double talk that ultra left wing liberals have come up with to twist the meaning of the bill of rights.

So person the 14th amendment is continuation from the word "We the people". Who are "We the People"?

We the people are legal citizen or resident not any tom dick and "Jose" who enters this country.

Try going to Mexico, China, India, Russia and claim these rights. You will disappear from the face of the earth.

I wonder how many rights we would have if we illegally invaded their country? Take at look at what their immigration laws are. It doesn't help that President Felipe de Jesús Calderón Hinojosa encourages them to come to the U.S. illegally so that they can work here and send money back to Mexico to support their government and economy. Calderón was even quoted as saying "a country with a Mexican is Mexico."

As for the thumbs down? Why do you not go to Mexico illegally and see just how welcome you would be? You do not deserve to live in the U.S. if you support criminal activity.

Apparently, the right of "I say so," because they keep saying they have the right, but no one can find anything on the books that backs them up...or in common sense, for that matter.

It's an even more skewed approach than Julius Caesar's "I came, I saw, I conquered." For the illegals, it's more like, "I came, I saw, I signed up for freebies and I'll say you're evil if you don't give 'em to me."

Other than that they have no rights under the constitution.
