1.) 6h+5h-25 = 11h-25
2.) -5d+6d-21= 1d-21 or d- 21
3.) 7 + 0.4a -6 = 0.4a + 1
4.) -6 - 6k - 12= -6k -18

Edit :
5.) 15.6h + 10.4 - 4h = 11.6h + 10.4
Explanation : What you need to do is distribute by multiplying the number on the left of the parenthesis to the inside of the parenthesis. Then when you're done doing that you combine Like terms. H's with H's, D's with D's , Regular numbers with Reg. Numbers and so on.

Perform the calculations in the parentheses first:

1) 6h + 5 (h - 5)
First, multiply 5 x (h - 5):
6h + 5h -25
Now, combine the h terms:
11h - 25
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾

2) -5d + 3(2d - 7)
Multiply 3 x (2d - 7):
-5d + 6d -21
d - 21
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾

3) 7 + 2(0.2a - 3)
7 + 0.4a - 6
0.4a + 1
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾

4) -6 - 3(2k + 4)
-6 - 6k -12
-6k -18
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾

5) 2(3h + 2) - 4h
6h + 4 - 4h
2h + 4
‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾

The rule is perform first what is inside the parenthesis. Then do the multiplication, division, addition and last is subraction.

Do you need to get the numeral value of the literal variable? You can do so by putting the numerals on the right side with the opposite sign. Meaning a negative (-) number will become positive once placed on the other side of the equation.

Sample:
6h+5(h-5) (do the multiplication)
6h+5*h-5*5
6h+5h-25 (combine common variable)
11h-25
11h = 25

for number 2, thesolution is:
-5d+3(2d-7)
-5d+6d-21
1d-21
1d=21
