what would happen if the USA stops using money today?

people would start using too much food that they cant eat, than people would stop working, making us lose food, and even though people would trade, poverty would increase, and people would die and other horrible things would happen. people would die from killing others because:
a. no cops or law enforcement
b. need food, transportation, etc.
c. they can get away with it.
to sum it up. . . it would be the downfall of the us

Well actually all of our money has no value.
In 1970, they destroyed the rule of money being backed by gold, especially since the USA is in such dept to other countries... If the people lose faith in money the government would fall apart. Which truthfully it is. Our Eco system would collapse, and a great multitude of panic would ensue.
As in the DOW. Because of it reaching 200-, over 7million people will lose they're homes. Already the system is falling apart. Michigan is collapsing from lack of jobs, everywhere wide spread panic is already there.
The government or USA has no back up plan. Everyone is focused on their own material gain, as in "he who dies with most toys wins!" Well.... What will be the point of so many things like a new xbox, if you can't use it? And no... it won't just stop using money... something tragic will happen and the system will fall apart.

if the usa did that there would be no buying things anymore and that wouldnt happen because the usa olny relies on money today nothing is more important than that to them

Already we're on a debt of 9 trillion $$$. says my SS teacher. So if we stop using money, we're still poor!

There would be a lot of bartering going on or something else would take the place of money.

I'm sure the government would already have something else on place for us to barter with, so, I guess, I'd use what they want us to use.
