Titan of the sun. Hyperion was the son of Uranus and Gaea. Hyperion married his sister, the Titaness Theia, and was the father of Helius ("Sun"), Eos ("Dawn"), and Selene ("Moon"). He was sometimes confused with his son, Helius, who was also a sun god.

Hyperion drove the chariot of the sun before the Titans were overthrown and Apollo took over.

You should pick another god. There is almost no information on Hyperion since the Greeks do not speak of him except as the father of the Sun, and as one of the six Titans.

Almost everything ancient writers have to say about him (which is not much) can be found here : http://www.theoi.com/Titan/TitanHyperion.html

Hyperion was of the race of the titans, huge beings with tremendous powers that wore born from the union of Mother Earth and Uranus, the sky. In reality, he might have come from legends in the east. He lived in the Hyperboreans, which means the land beyond the winds, suggesting that it was always warm and suny where he lived. Later, the hyperboreans would be visited by Apollo, a sun god, which Hyperion was adn by Heracles. Not that much is known of his personality or his likes adn dislikes, not that many myths live on about him today. His name means " Sun-High One" meaning that his domain was of the sun itslef. With Thea, the godess of Light, he had Helios, the sun god or the sun itslef. Eos the goddess of the dawn and Selene, the goddess of the moon.
