They were to discuss their reasoning for the sale of the book that they got possession of, that was, the OJ book 'If I did It"...I understand that Fred Goldman upped the pages with another 1400 words as dictated by Fred....

the goldman's are money grubbers. they had the rights to the book so instead of destroying it they decided to "protect" Ron by publishing it. To bad they couldn't "protect" Nicole, but of course then the book wouldn't sell. I wish the corporation that owned the rights would sue the goldmans. It seems to me this company would have made a lot of money if the Goldmans wouldn't have protested. they purpotrated fraud on America . It wasn't about OJ making money it was about them not making it. I wonder if OJ's sham corporation has a valid civil case? I hope so just to shut the Golmans up.

I understand the Goldman's are on a vendetta against OJ Simpson because they believe he murdered Ron Goldman, a crime of which OJ was acquitted, except in the public eye.
I personally am not convinced he committed those murders, however, the question is about the Goldmans. I don't like Fred Goldman, or at least the image he has projected over the past decade, and therefore feel no sympathy for him or his "project" of taking everything James Simpson owns. Goldman's adding to the book was probably a cheaper way for him to publish his own beliefs and have them actually read by someone interested in OJ's classless and disgusting tome.

Oprah has to do what Oprah has to do and any opinion will not matter a hill of beans...but at least Oprah disagreed with the Goldmans...I firmly believe that they are money hungry hypocrites and are not doing anything good for Ron's name....Let it go and find a more productive way to mourn...letting a book get published after getting the rights will only teach others how to murder their 'son's...bad move...they got the rights...now right a book about how the battle went and how they ended up with the rights....then keep the money if they need it....no wonder Ron was a little 'removed ' from his parents, according to some.... and I mean his Mom and Dad who were divorced...I think he saw more of his sister....I understand their grief, not the way they want the public to see it....

I will probably get lambasted but I can understand their wanting to set up money for OJ's kids out of the book deal where he cannot touch it. They have huge legal bills and the book will pay those off. If it sells enough. they will actually not make themselves a better standard of living from the profits. The idea of the book is sickening but OJ penned it in his narcissism so they should benefit from it. After all it will be the first they have collected of the settlement granted them. Oj is seen golfing, laughing, abusing new grilfreinds etc.
The real book will be the one the children write when in their 30's and OJ's dead and they fear no reprisals.

I loathe Oprah and her universe sized ego.

By all legal rights granted in the Civil suit award, Fred Goldman gets EVERY DIME made from the book O.J. wrote. And that's a bitter pill for O.J. to swallow--given the book is generating millions of dollars he could have enjoyed.

But O.J. killed two innocent people, albeit he wriggled free from prosecution for it. Karma has a funny way of working though, doesn't it?

O.J.'s deseperation now has landed him committing a crime that faces him some serious decades of prison life.

I'm no OJ supporter but I wish these Goldman people would go away. I cannot stand the sight of them and do not care if they get their payoff from OJ. Why do they get so much media attention? People sadly get murdered everyday - why does the media just focus on the Goldmans. Because OJ is a washed up football player ?? Who cares !!!

The biggest thing for me was how appalled they claimed to be when OJ might have made money off of it. Then, once they got the rights for it, they could have just thrown it in the trash, but instead they are suddenly no longer appalled and can't wait to publish it!
OJ couldn't have made any money off of it once they controlled the rights, so whether they published it or not didn't make a difference to him. It just goes to show it's all bs, and they've turned into greedy pigs.

It is easy for other people to judge, but how would you feel if your son or brother was slaughtered and the man who did it not only got away with it, but basically was laughing in your face all the time. They won the civil judgement and that is the only thing they can take from him- his money. OJ potentially could make MORE money off of this book, and lets face it, this book was selling for thousands on eBAY- there is a market. It is their way to take something from him. It isn't about money, it is about the fact that OJ got away with murder.....if anything this book exposes him for the monster he is.
Until you walk in their shoes, don't judge. I can't imagine going through what they did.

The thought of OJ profitting off of his confession (couched in a disclaimer) is disgusting. He owes money to the Goldman family from the wrongful death suit and the Goldman's want to publicize his confession. Good for them.

For a man who so called only wants justice for his son, he sure is very persistent on cashing in on any monetary value from O.J. than he is on finding out who killed his son. Whether we believe O.J. did it or not, he was found to be not guilty. Which means the killer, whoever it is, is still out there somewhere. Fred Goldman and the rest of his greedy and annoying family have worn out their welcome in the American Households. When this first started I felt bad for him and his family, now I just turn the TV off when I see him whining and scampering for money. The man is a hypocrite, with greed written all over his face.
