If not, can you please explain where I went wrong and what I'm supposed to do?

Here's what I did...

(2x-1)(-x^2+3x-4)

= 2x(-x^2+3x-4) - 1(-x^2+3x-4)2 - 3x + 4
= -2x^3 + 7x^2 - 11x + 4

Oh good! Thanks people! I couldn't find an example like this in my book or notes, so I just figured I was supposed to do that. But I wasn't sure if that's what I'm supposed to do 'cause there is also no answer for me to double check with!

Yes it does equal -2x^3 + 7x^2 - 11x + 4 .
You did it right. So don't keep trying to find
something wrong with it and get confused now. It's right.
=)
