i like barbie but she dresses kinda trashy too.bratz isn't the only doll woth short clothes i will admit but what kind of role model doll has barbie lingere?(gross)!

I'm sure I'll just get all kinds of boos over this but I like Barbie and don't see anything wrong with Barbie as a role model for my daughter. I played with Barbie when I was a child- had more Barbies than I can count. As a parent of a little girl who is already showing interest in Barbie- I have no problem with my daughter wanting to play with Barbie or looking to Barbie as a "role model". For one thing- she's a DOLL- doll's measurements don't have to be like real people's measurements- they're made of plastic and allowed to be unrealistic. As for a reason I do like Barbie- Barbie sparked creativity in me and I'm sure it will in my daughter- Barbie has been an astronaut, a doctor, a vet, and countless other careers- a little girl can spend a lot of time making up stories to go with her Dr. Barbie or vet Barbie or President Barbie. And if I happen to want my kid to play with a doll who has more realistic measurements and isn't a perfect little hourglass waist- I have a Dreamgirls doll who is plump so my daughter can look to her as a doll who has the junk in the trunk like a lot of women do.
And it wasn't Barbie that had a baby with another man- it was Midge. As a collector, I have that doll too.

I hate barbie. She's so unrealistic, and she instills bad values in little girls.
If she was life size, she'd be like a 36DD, her waist would be about 20" and she'd be seven feet tall. She also wouldn't be able to stand with those itsy bitsy feet of hers. Barbie is one of the reasons why little girls grow up to starve themselves and stuff their bras because they want to look "pretty".
She's better than the bratz though, their clothes are so... innapropriate. I mean, I dress pretty badly, but I wouldn't wear half the things they do and a little kid doesn't need to be exposed to that.
Ick. Even toys today are corrupted. It makes me sick.

â¥she gets everthing free we have to buy her the accessories
â¥she has everything in the world including a hot guy

No,I hate Barbie! It's such a stupid doll! I think that the best dolls are American Girl Dolls.

lol i wish i was barbie lol. but not barbie as we know her now. 90's barbie . she was verry smart and knew everythin and she wasnt so skinny. and kelly was her daughter and now is her sister. am i right?
