for book covers of great books

i agree with the answerer above me. you have to be careful about what horror books you buy because theres tons of crappy books out there and its easy to pick up one with a cool cover and a great summary on the back, but its written REALLY badly. i suggest before you buy it, you read the first bage and see if it holds your interest. then flip to two differnt pages in the middle of the book and read through them quickly. Does the author use "She said, he said" all the time? This is what the author of "Darkhouse" did. it sounded like an amazing book from the summary... but it didnt hold my interest with the poor use of "said". well auctually, it just ticked me off because it showed no emotion.
hope i helped!!!

Try Graham Masterton or John Lutz, they both write some crazy twisted stuff. I really like The Night Spider by John Lutz. Oh and there is this trilogy by Theresa Monsour and they are pretty twisted. Its the Paris Murphy Trilogy and the first one is called Clean Cut, followed by Cold Blood and Dark House.

Clive Barker... Of course, whenever you are in the horror section, it's often very easy to pick up absolute crap. (I'm a horror fan myself) I find it helpful to look at reviews and see if my favourite authors have given a book good reviews.

P.S. - If you like Stephen King, you may know this already, but Peter Straub is a nom de plume of his.

P. L. E. - K.C.

I just read a review of Joyce Carol Oates' new book, "The Museum of Dr. Moses." It's a collection of short stories that sound pretty scary. I haven't read it yet, but it sounds good.
