it's not in our human nature to be like that.
we are not designed to strive for equality in that sense but for individual prosperity.
ask yourself, what matters to you more - to be on equal grounds with your neighbour or to buy that new bmw?
theoretical communism is somewhere close to that. but in reality it doesn't last more than 20 seconds after the communist revolution.
someone has to make decisions, ergo that someone is out of the equality equation, ergo the society as a whole is not equal. and the funny thing is, communist leaders have the biggest tendency to turn into despots. ironic, ain't it?
if money suddenly became unimportant it would only mean that we have evolved both intellectually and psychologically. and that will not happen in the near future.

Well, I think it would be amazing, but there are problems to that. You see, even if we didn't have money, many would use forms of trading and bartering, and there would be arguments and disagreements, and there would still be the hostility of these things.
Even if everyone WAS equal, which I believe that in a way, we all are, there would still be those who think they are better than everyone else, and want to prove it.
So really, there is no way to prevent the world in which we live today. It's human nature.

You would´ve opened your eyes.
Money only rule business and budget, but are NOT important.
Every one of us is a very rich person, therefore NO one is poor.
We ARE all equal. It is just that some of us run faster, some learn better, some live in bigger house, some in Afghanistan...

Paris Hilton is worth greater, and consequently greater substantial than the poorest baby in Africa? of direction no longer, her wealth, like the African youngster's poverty, is an twist of way forward for beginning. Its only that we frequently study much less relating to the destructive than relating to the wealthy; because of the fact to many, the lives of the wealthy are interesting! i've got in no way seen a cleansing soap opera located in a ghetto. yet "existence of the wealthy and properly-enjoyed" style exhibits have been very extensive-unfold. an excellent quantity individuals could fairly stay interior the dream international of a spoiled, privileged few than take care of the existence and death struggles of the thousands and thousands. unhappy yet authentic.

Hmmm, I think we'd find some other social currency. I think that is in the nature of man and woman (at least in the western world) to seek to achieve more than his/her peers. Westerners generally try to keep up with the Joneses, and we'd eventually find somthing to one-up each other on.

Then nobody would make any new technology or have any stored food or people to fix things or make things or build things for you and we'd have to live in old buildings and gather our own food.
Unless, of course, we're in a magical fairy land where everybody works together and for each other to improve things and help people. Oh well.

Pigs would fly? Human endeavour is more often motivated by greed rather than need so equality and affluence would improve society only slightly.

Society would fall apart.
Why would doctors, teachers, lawyers, scientists all bother doing years of study if they were going to get equal wages to a typist or bus driver or someone who was unemployed.
