i read this story ( http://www.macworld.com/2006/06/firstlooks/macbookgames/index.php ) and it said the macbook wasnt too good for gaming, im not so sure what to believe but what do you guys think? and if i put 2 gig ram in and get a 500 gig external hard drive+windows how do you think i would work, or what would go wrong, also could you tell me what would be good to put in my mac?

The MacBook (plain MacBook, not the Pro) uses the Intel GMA 950 graphics adapter, which is absolute garbage for gaming. You will get horrible gaming performance, plain and simple. If you want good gaming, you really need to be getting a PC, but if you have to get a Mac you need to at least step up to the MacBook Pro.
