Yes ,Yes, Yes I have always felt this way about him. He had a very bold magnificent voice in the music industry. The bottom line is I think he was gay and shared a closeted love w another man. The public knew and heard stories but no one dared to ask him that question publicly. I think he was losing all the weight and gaining it do to STRESS. he worried all the time about how people would judge him as a gay artist. It can hurt a person career in the black community if they openly admit they're gay

I read his bio at library, he was an intense young man, perfectionist and socially considered a loner (high school) lost in music, but as he started to suceed their was a relationship with a younger man. He was intensely private, intensely loyal to his family and conservative. I think he was brought up this way and he respected his familys faith background. It was none of anyones business, and I believe he was ashamed. He never partaked to drugs or partying with celebs. I greatly respected him and think he was a genuis, musically. I think personal happiness eluded him, sadly.
