Not everyone who plays bingo is OLD. How insultive. I have been playing bingo since I was a child on a military base for special prizes. And if you went to the casinos in Vegas you would see various ages. And the cost for that hour of fun is way cheaper than playing a table or machine.

Bingo is an easy game to play where you can socialize at the same time and win something. The ability to play using numbers crosses the language barrier!

I have never played Bingo and I have hundreds of friends and acquaintances who do not Bingo.

Should I ask the question " Why do young people always make generalization that are not true?"

I won't because I realize you are just one person.

In my town there is a Bingo game every night. Several are in my neighborhood and I see the same cars parked at every location for Bingo. Since it is a small town I know many of the people. There are more older/retired people who play regularly. However, I notice people of all adult ages at the games.

Plain and simple, they want to win money. Just like those who
play the lottery. Everyone wants more money to have an
easier life. I remember when we lived in Vegas once. I would
see housewives with curlers and shleppy, and I figured out,
that these women were probably playing the machines with
their grocery money. They looked like they had gotton out of
bed and came straight there to play. There is also an addic-
tion to this form of gambling. And for some, there's an actual
'need' to play frequently. I have a friend who is lucky at bingo.
And she goes every other week, when she wants' some
extra money for playing. Recently she went, so she could
win some money to go to the beach on. She doesn't think of
losing, only winning. And she is lucky at that.
So playing Bingo, for many is a habit, and an addiction.
And for some a necessity, if they are low on cash. But it is
a form of gambling. Make no mistake about that.

I do have friends in the nursing home who are not physically able to do anything else, so Bingo gives them something to look foward to. But-I've enjoyed playing Bingo since I was a small child. I love the feel of winning and yelling out, 'BINGO!!!' We even sang a song about our dog-B-I-N-G-O. So it's not just for 'old people'.

Not all "old" people play bingo. I hate bingo. You probably consider me old. I am 62. I play poker and other card games. I also dine out, travel, and go to casinos. I have a pretty good time for a "old" person.

I have a lot of younger friends/coworkers who are Bingo nuts, in fact one of them won 1000 bucks at the game. I don't play, even though I'm the older guy. Just not my thing.
