Women argue that there are a shortage of female role models and people often learn leadership styles from observing other people but there are few female exectutives to observe.

They argue that females can watch male leaders but men cannot illustrate how to navigate female stereotypes.

Also, they say that women have two problems. They cannot assert themselves forcefully or they will not be perceived as feminine enough and if they act to feminine aren't seen as strong leaders. They don't want to ask for advice because they will seem unsure of themselves.

Do you agree with these notions? Are women being marginalized?

Women marginalize themselves. I have several friends who have made it to the top and have turned into terrible role models. They'd sell their souls and their mother's souls to keep their "top" spot. They don't seem to realize that being assertive and strong leaders doesn't mean being jerks.

Females seem to be able to watch male leaders but not learn from their mistakes. Women who have something to prove often take with them a 'wonderful' set of characteristics and innate abilities that most men can't even begin to aspire to...gossiping, backstabbing, cheating and your general cave-girl mentality.

We women in leadership roles are our own worst enemies. I have met only a few female leaders who don't allow their hormones to rule their heads or who have the ability to resist getting down and dirty like coffee-clatch housewives.

Female role model shortage? I don't think so. There are many women that cook, clean, and take care of their family!

Society and advertisement pastimes tend to call for one hundred% committment from those on the right, usually on the rate of healthful social and/or relatives lives. men who ignore relatives or different relationships in favour of profession are excused by ability of society.......Society hardly excuses females who placed profession previous to relatives, and positively females who pick profession quite of relatives are marginalised.
