In the control panel, check the scheme used on the power settings. If you are using it on battery it may ne set for as low as 5 minute sleep if inactive.

Well, you might have a virus that changed a setting.
Go into control panel and click on "Performance and Maintenance" and click on power options.
It will pull up a menu.
Then alter your power settings for when it goes in to standby.

The only thing you have to do is to configure your power settings. Do you use windows? If yes you can go to the control panel; there you choose ''power options''. From there you can control when your computer will stand-by or Hibernate e.t.c

if you are using the computer and actively typing and on the mouse then i cant help you. ut if you arnt using it then it will either be your screen saver or power save settings. go onto you home window, left click and go on to properties, go onto the screensaver screen and then you can sort out the settings
