Not if you're married or in a relationship with that person, of it you just really, really love them or have a crush on them.
But if you are thinking of stalking or hurting them, it IS wrong.

It happened to me few times. But I think this is waste of time and effort. You'll be busy thinking and you won't concentrate in any thing else. I think we muslims must think of some thing day and night: Death.. that we are going to die sooner or later. This will always remind us to do good and be away from doing sinns. There is hadeeth to Messenger of Allah SWT, Mohammed PBUH which means that the smartest and the best of us is that who mentions death often
.
Besides there is another hadeeth which means:Oh, Mohammed, love whom ever you want, you'll be apart from him..and do what ever you want you will be rewarded on it.
This doesn't mean not to love others, of course not. Love is essentail in life. But don't let it affect you negatively.

Depends if it is love or a sick obsession (like a stalker). Love is ok, but be warned....the one you think of may not be thinking of you day and night and you could be setting yourself up for a really bad heartbreak!!!!

If you are talking about loving someone of the opposite sex, that is normal.
If you are talking about stalking them, then it ain't normal.
