A poll done across the UK suggested that roughly 96% of people masturbate on a regular basis and 99% have tried it.Surprisingly there was roughly the same amount of females as males that masturbate.I can honestly say I have never masturbated.However some of my female friends do and joke that it is better then sex! I can't believe it is.Do you masturbate and is it as good as sexual intercourse?

Masturbation is not for me.

I think masturbation can never be as good as sex between to people who love each other ans express that love in the ultimate way of sharing their love and their bodies with one another there is nothing to be compared with the physical feeling and emotions and connction felt when sharing a passion and love with someone you love... so no i disagree...masturbation can not be no substitute for real sex.

I do (though I'm male, so that's not too surprising). Sometimes it's certainly better than some sex I've had. I suppose you're more in control, and everything you do is to enhance your own pleasure. And fantasies tend by their nature to surpass reality.
Of course, masturbation does lack that sense of closeness to another human being. Though I suppose sex between two can, on occasion, be even lonelier.

Everyone does it at some point. It's natural. Yes, I do it. And it's hard to say whether or not it's better than actual sex. It depends on who you're having sex with. But sometimes I would rather take care of things myself than hope that someone can manage to do it for me.

Oh, stop acting so morally righteous and philosophically correct!
When you're bored, masturbation is always at hand, and if you're lonely, then masturbation can be your best friend.
We do it because we CAN, and its a release of sexual energy that is unhealthy to keep bottled up----it can make your mentally unbalanced.

I do and have absolutely NO shame in it. I masterbate alone and with my partner.
