Why when you ask a question on Y/A do you get a majority of people trying to get you to do what they think is right or to go along their way of thinking? For eg I asked a simple question the other night I asked how do you set a mouse trap easy enough question you'd think except i got told please no dont use one of the more humane ones etc, etc that doesn't actually answer the question now does it? lol But why do people feel the need to push their beliefs etc on someone??

Yes I am pis sed off over that type of thing because I asked a simple question how do you set a mouse trap? I didnt ask for the morality brigade to come out in force saying boo no dont kill the dirty little mouse that has infested your home!! lol you're the kind of person im talking about. If there's a mouse in my house (hey that ryhmes) and I decide to buy traps to kill it and want to know how to set it thats the only answer i want not this whole a mouse's life is important as a humans. Cos they're really not anyway.

In this case I don't quite understand why you're getting pissed off. So some people were trying to give you an alternative to killing an animal? That's.....wrong?
Edit: I'm the kind of person you're talking about? Way to make an assumption. If you're closed-minded enough to get this beligerant over alternative opinions, no wonder you're gleefully killing things rather than taking the humane route.
The fact is, you're not going to always get an answer that suits you. This site harbours a wide and wonderful variety of people, the majority of whom feel passionate about certain subjects. Either you deal with that, accept that you can learn from other people or don't post questions.

did not see the original question but here is the answer... put it where the mice are... regardless of the kind of trap... the "human" ones require bait of some kind to lure them inside... the oldfashoned ones just need to be placed along the paths mice follow... close to walls and obsticles... mice can not see well so stay close to the sides of things... with the old spring traps place the end the mouse must step on next to the object or wall... the mouse will have to walk over it and ... you have it........ If you use poison bait do not put it where children or pets can get to it.

I ask a question so that i get an answer i might not have thought of yet, just because people might want you to choose their beliefs it does not mean you have to.
Also on here you get a variety of people so you might ask a question hoping for a answer that you like but someone might point something out you have not considered so you can also see things from another person's point of veiw, or a outsider's point of veiw and as they say; sometimes you need a outsiders point of veiw to see things rightly.
Sometimes i might ask a question in hope for some support and i have found i have always got that from really carring people on here that have some really good advice that just makes moral sence and is good comfort.
Another reason is the majority of people on here have more life experience so they have made the mistakes and learnt from it, they know what sort of things to expect from situations so its only smart to ask for the advice before you get caught out.
Last reason i ask questions on here is because it is answered by actual people, it is not a random book of facts of written by a psycologist that thinks they know everything about you and what you should always do, nearly all of my answers come from the loveliest people who can feel empathy and understand properly and help because they actually want to, not because they are going to be paid for it.
*Last note
I love answering on here because i always think it is nice to help someone when you can that has purposefully come and asked for help, its especially best when you get best answer and they say thank you because they agree or have taken somehting from your answer.

yep, get it all the time, you ask a straightforward question and end up getting either no brain answers or opinions of people who haven't even read the question properly,
Set the trap using either a piece of cheese or some bacon rind, both works, and put it in a place you know the mouses are using, best in cupboard, or if its out side make sure to cover it over with a box or piece of wood, check daily and remove any customers, re set trap.

Without bringing my personal beliefs into this, people usually don't answer the question correctly if it offends them or is controversial in any way. It's just one of things about asking real live people, I think.
By the way - yelena did not ask about abortion at 30 weeks, she asked about abortion at 36 weeks, and she also asks questions constantly about being a virgin and so on. People post links, like I do here, because people like this are disgusting trolls. If you add her (or him, not sure) as a friend you can see the previous questions and answers, including two answers in which she told pregnant women their baby was dying inside them. I post these links so that people can see trolls in action - asking questions is one thing, but telling women things like s/he did is another.

Because, my beliefs are 100% correct and the world needs to follow what I say, espcially about mouse traps!!!!
Sorry, I couldn't help it. Many people see an opportunity to express their deep felt opions about something, like mouse trap and human treatment of animals, and they spout off.

A cat is the best mouse trap. Get a cat and no more mice. If you don't have a cat, use peanut butter on the little mousetrap trigger. They have to lick it to get the stuff off and SNAP!
Sorry about those other busybodies~

Some people have their own agenda here.
They respond to questions but not necessarily with an answer.
Some people will find any forum, including this to push their views.
Shame really.

Why do people ask questions if they only want a particular answer. I don't think "yes" or "no" answers are good enough, and people do express their beliefs.
