I found some info. but i need more for my science class...if you could help that would be great!!!

Yes.

Kilo is 1000 of something
and milli is 1/1000 of something

here is a money example:

kilo dollars is 1000 dollars (think of a $1000 bill) it contains 1000 one dollar bills

milli dollar would be one tenth of a cent and it would take 1000 of those little parts just to make 1 dollar.

kilo is a lot greater than milli for starters
kilo- is 1000 x the normal unit like meter, liter, etc
milli- is 1/1000 x the normal unit like meter, liter, etc

so.. 1000meter = 1 km
and.. .001meter = 1 cm

Milli means a thousandth of something. A millimetre is a thousandth of a metre. Other words with milli are milligram (one thousandth of a gram), millilitre (one thousandth of a litre).
Kilo means a thousand somethings. One thousand grams makes a kilogram. 1000metres = 1 kilometre. Other words with kilo are kilowatt (1000 watts), kilojoule (1000 joules), and so on.
