Great question, honestly.
Why ?
They are now questioning the USA whether evidence of sniffer dogs is reliable as evidence to convict.
This case is becoming more and more "American":
(1) The owner of Virgin Atlantic is financing the McCanns defence by £100,000 or US170,000 and has vowed to seek more money from other millionaires. Would Mr. Virgin himself do that if the McCanns were black and poor I wonder !?
(2) The defence lawyers of the McCanns have alrealy turned to the USA to ask if sniffer dogs evidence is sufficient reliable (they were British sniffer dogs) as evidence enough to convict.. Why ask the US if lie-detector tests are reliable. In England they are not admissible as evidence.
The McCanns are in the clear -- remember, there are no millionaires in the death rows of the USA. With a batallian of expensive lawyers paid by Branson andby other millionaires the McCanns are already free of all charges.
Freedom and justice for all so long as you can afford expensive lawyers. Be poor, hire a second rate lawyer and you'll fry in the chair or rot in a cell forever. Why in the world should Branson want to get involved ? Don't tell me it is publicity! Disgraceful !!!!!

Maybe he plans on going on a long distance car trip, and perhaps he thinks that pulling over for bathroom breaks is overrated.
