Dirk-you are speaking for me on this so feel free :) I hope there will be a return to normalcy but I do not hold out alot of hope. The reason impeachment is so important is to show other presidents that they can not lie, abuse the judicial system and get by with it-this president (and I use that term loosely) has categorically shown NO regard for the constitution and neither has his other partners in crime. I certainly do hope we can straighten out 8 years of abuses though.

So far, the only ones seeming to be an embarrassment are liberal democrats in the house and senate. For example, they talk a big story about supporting the troops, and wanting to help and do right by them, yet name one Democrat who asked Gen. Petrius what they could do as individuals or as a congress to help acheive the success they say they want.
They talk alot, about "cut and run", impeachment, "Bush lied", (even though many making that claim agreed with the president six years ago), while offering nothing in the way of positive suggestions, or ideas of how to end the war on terrorists, who would destroy the U.S. given half a chance.
