This sounds horrible but I'd just kill it and put it out of it's suffering. Put it in a bucket of water, if you can't do it get ur dad to do it. You have to be cruel to be kind. You can't put it back as the mother will kill and eat it anyway as it'll smell of you.

If you really want to keep trying to save it get some cats milk from the pet shop and slightly warm it, dip the corner of a handkie in it and slowly squeeze it into it's mouth, only a drop at a time as you could drown it. You'll need to do this every hour or so round the clock, so no sleep and if you're at school/work some-one needs to do it while you're out. Needs to be put in some cottonwool under a lamp but make sure the lamp isn't to close.

Good luck either way.

This is really really heartbreaking, I know exactly how you feel but the truth is the little one really isn't going to make it. I rescued some little shrews from my friend's house, the mother had had her litter in a compost bag and while I was there helping them plant in their garden, my friend screamed as she saw one in the pot, so all together I had five baby shrews on my hands to look after as mum was nowhere to be seen and as we'd already accidently touched the babies, mum wouldn't have taken them back. One died that night but the next morning I rushed into town and bought some baby milk and kitten milk, they prefered the kitten milk and drank it from a syringe. 2/3 days later they all died so, what I'm trying to say is please please please do not try to get attacked to it, name it or anything because it's a wild baby animals without it's mum to care for it. I tried the best I could to keep the little shrews going and I kept them alive for two more nights.
I also rescued a baby bird once that hadn't had it's mother feed it all day, my dad and I kept watch for her and she never came so I fed it some worms and it made me cry that I was helping it, only for a few more nights, unfortunately it too died.

If you wanna help this little one, what you wanna do is get a cotton bud, dip it in warmish kitten milk and let it suck from the bud, do this at least every hour, but it is very hard and you really need to have full dedication to do this but I'm afraid that the little one won't make it :( but you will have kept it alive for a few more hours if not a day. But I wish you the very best of luck!

Regular cow milk does not have enough nutrients for the mouse to survive. Your local pet store should sell milk replacement that will help it.
Also, you need to use a warm wet washcloth and rub it's genital/anal area to stimulate a bowel movement (the mother's usually lick them to do this but since the mother is gone you must do this a couple times a day for the mouse to survive).

Here is a few websites to help:

Your best bet is to go to PetSmart and ask them what you need since they sell mice.

it probably wont live, but i think you should keep it warm and keep trying with the milk. Contact the rspcaand they'll help you out. If he doesnt live, you should buy a little mouse or rat anyway as they make amazing pets!

2ml syringe 1/2 ml of kitten milk every 2 hours, puddle it before feeding (tissue and rub it's bottom till it urinates or poo's) it's critical the milk is the right temperature or it wont drink, don't force it down it's throat very gently deliver it, no more than 1/2 ml or you will bloat it and kill it, keep it warm.
Good luck

Unfortunately, your mouse will die. At that age, it drinks only the milk from it's mother.
You can try milk that babies drink, and try using a syringe to give it to it, but in all honesty, I don't think it will work.

Put it back where you found it. The mother may come across it. You won't be able to handrear it, it's far too small.

It is far to small to hand rear, you should have left it where it was as the mouther would have come back for it.
