Fossil fuel is currently our major source of
energy. Our current complex society would

No public water supply, (most places).
no lights,
no phones,
no computer net,
no mass media,
no transportation of people and goods,
(ships, planes, trucks, trains, autos.)

Our entire economy is based upon them for a start!
We use fossil fuels for everything.
For example.

fossil fuels are very important to us we use them each and everyday in some form or fashion each time you take a drink out of a plastic bottle you are using fossil fuels, we run them in the gas tank all the time and the work uses them to lubricate manufacturing concerns so they are very very important to us, it is not that we can not find a better way it is just that they are easier and we are use to them and like everything else what you are use to is what you want to stick with it seems
