How important are they? What do we use them for?

Fossil fuel is currently our major source of
energy. Our current complex society would
collapse without it.
Consider:
No public water supply, (most places).
no lights,
no phones,
no computer net,
no mass media,
no transportation of people and goods,
(ships, planes, trucks, trains, autos.)

Our entire economy is based upon them for a start!

We use fossil fuels for everything.

For example.
Your computer was made from them (or certainly using them to make it). Youre using the energy from burned fossil fuels to power your computer.

If you live in a well off country, its likely that everything man made around you has used up some fossil fuels, and uses fossil fuels to run.

fossil fuels are very important to us we use them each and everyday in some form or fashion each time you take a drink out of a plastic bottle you are using fossil fuels, we run them in the gas tank all the time and the work uses them to lubricate manufacturing concerns so they are very very important to us, it is not that we can not find a better way it is just that they are easier and we are use to them and like everything else what you are use to is what you want to stick with it seems

Fossil Fuels are fules that are obtained from deposits that fossilized millions of years ago

examples : coal , gasoline, natural gas

Fossil Fuels run our economy, power our homes, run our vehicles
