Happiness is a fleeting emotion. I have learned that it is far better to be content than to be happy.

You may look outside your window and see something that brings you happiness, but it is momentary.

After looking out the window, I go back to my very comfortable sofa, look at my adoring husband, and feel that all is right with the world. I am positively content.

Happiness comes from within: If you are not happy inside, nothing and no one will make you happy. It is up to each individual to seek those things which make each of us individually happy, and then to share that happiness with others.
Good luck and may God bless you.

Happiness is a state within yourself not reliant on anyone else. So it is a choice you make or choose not to make. If you are relying on someone else for your happiness you will always fall short it comes from within.
