~~~ My cats ARE MY FAMILY! I always made up songs and poems for them ,and they love them. Especially when they hear their names being sang to them. I have a binder full of "Cat Songs & Poetry" that my Husband and I wrote for all the cats that "adopted us". ♥ But I can't find it right now. I do know one by heart that I made up for "Raisa", because it's kinda short. I ain't the best typist in the world....but here goes.....Raisa! Raisa! I pet her all the time. And when I am not petting her,she's always on my mind. She loves to sing and dance with me-she really is a trip. All she ever asks of me is organtic catnip. Early in the evening, she strolls right out of our house,I call my little kitty back and she brings me in a mouse! Everybody sing! Raisa! Raisa!.....(repeat) She was a great cat. The best cat in the world in fact. The boss of our family,for sure. Everybody's favorite member. Yes, "We are family!" ~~~
Yes, i love my animals and they are a huge part of my family.
Just because they are animals, doesnt mean they are below us as individuals. It seems as though animals are capable of loving alot more than alot of other humans. It is ashame that alot of people seem to want to dominate their pets so much. Why do people have to yell at their dogs, or jerk their leash when they are straying a bit during a walk. Woah, im going off on a tangent lol sorry
Yes, i consider all of my pets a part of my family!
I didn't have a dog growing up. I wanted one but my dad said we couldn't get one because he can't take it when they die. Well, I didn't really care for dogs or any animals much until we got our dog (shhh . . . she doesn't know she's a dog -- seriously) Mandy.
She's a Golden Retriever and she understands everything anyone says to her. We take her almost everywhere and she's pretty insulted when she has to stay behind.
Mandy, who is extremely bright, comes running when we play the song "Mandy" by Barry Manilow. It's funny to see.
She is definitely a great part of our family and we love her! Now, I really like all dogs -- because of her, I'm a dog lover!!
Yes our pets are and always will be a part of our family. The last pet we had named Sam,our parakeet had her name right alongside ours in a homemade stitched afghan . She was truly a good friend . I love animals very much and there are like little children whom you love to cradle in your arms and lay them on their lap and can peaceably sleep like an angel.
Right now my sweetheart and I have none but plan to. We want to get a couple of Golden Retrievers as they are the sweetest dogs. We babysit a friend of ours from time to time and they are so lovable and fun. When we do, they will most definetly be part of our family and we will love them dearly.
YES! I don't care what anybody says either, so many people think we are crazy and belong in a mental institute because we think of our pets as part of our family! I would save their lives in a fire/earthquake/etc. just as fast as I would save my own children(if I had any). We interact with them daily and they are sooo loved and sooo spoiled. One of my hamsters passed away about 2 weeks ago and I cried the entire day...probably as much as i cried when my dad passed away.
Lots of people talk to animals.... Not very many listen, though.... That's the problem. ~Benjamin Hoff, The Tao of Pooh
An animal's eyes have the power to speak a great language. ~Martin Buber
The kind man feeds his beast before sitting down to dinner. ~Hebrew Proverb
Our perfect companions never have fewer than four feet. ~Colette
"Love animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harass them, don't deprive them of their happiness, don't work against God's intent. Man, do not pride yourself on superiority to animals; they are without sin, and you, with your greatness, defile the earth by your appearance on it, and leave the traces of your foulness after you--alas, it is true of almost every one of us!"
-- Fyodor Dostoyevsky
They certainly are a part of mine :) My family has three cats, each of us have our special "baby" that we love to pamper, mine is a chubby black cat. They are very important to me and give me someone to care for, I love my pets and hope they will be with me a long, healthy, time~
God Bless my kitties and birds :)
