I think Bush should work hard for freedoms in THIS country before attempting it in others. Oh, but I forget. This is the same man who has whittled away at our Constitution and referred to it as a "g-damned piece of paper".

Hillary said if she becomes president, she will leave forces to train the Iraqi army/police and forces to combat terrorism but will pull out most troops who are only there for combat missions. She will draw down the troops over a period of time. That doesn't sound that much different from what Bush is saying.

The only thing she would add is some serious diplomacy with Iraq's neighbors that would lead to their helping the peace process instead of threatening them all so that major problems don't erupt in the Middle East.

I don't know if you have watched the news recently but, if you had you would know that there's a civil war being waged throughout the country. if you define freedom as having the right to kill someone because they are another faith than, oh yeah there's definitely freedom there. Of the 25 years Sadam controlled Iraq 220,000 Iraqi casualties. Of the 4 years that we have been in controll of Iraq 650,000+ Iraqi deaths and still in the counting. Just for the record: There was no Al Queda in Iraq before our presence.

they don't like freedom. They like control.

Iraq is experiencing difficult time because they were granted freedom from tyranny. Unlike the USA who fought and earned itself.
It is expected that people want to grab the power vacuum to propagate their own form of justice. The US needs to be patient and allow the good people of Iraq the chance to claim power.

The left wants to leave Iraq so that millions of Iraqi's will get killed and be forced to flee to the US. Once here they can blame republicans and secure votes for the next several generations.

Have you even heard any of the Iraqis discuss what's going on in their country? There aren't very many Iraqis who want the US to stay. The only thing Bush did was get rid of Saddam and he sure didn't have to invade Iraq to do that.
Just exactly what is the Hillary bunch in Iraq?

Considering Hillary has socialist leanings, almost to the point of outright communism, freedom means nothing to her and her flunkies. The democrats crying for our pullout of Iraq are nothing more than surrender-monkeys who want to hand Iraq completely over to Iran and all the other terrorists who are just waiting for an opportunity to take over. The democrats who call for our surrender should become politicians in France, since France is very well versed at surrendering.

The freedom that Bush has worked so hard for?

I didn't realize that wasting 100 billion dollars and sending thousands off to die in a foreign land qualified as hard work these days. What is this country coming to?!

The more the Democratic leaders try to sabotage our mission in Iraq, the more they will ingratiate themselves to their rabid antiwar base, but the harder it will be for them to avoid their own quagmire in November 2008, when national security issues will be front and center.
General Petraeus recently reported to Congress on the status of our mission in Iraq. Hillary bunch and other representatives in Congress will now decide whether to abandon our troops and surrender to America's enemies, or continue the mission and defeat Al Qaeda.

Iraq folks are living under a military occupation. Exactly what freedom are you talking about?

I see youre another Orwellian who uses the word freedom to mean torture and oppression.

I wonder, is this just the typical mind twist of americans, or has having an illiterate president "trickled down" to affect all american literacy?
