Could be.
But really, I think our Souls are eternal. We come to this place (and other planets) over the years to learn and grow. The lessons learned here are valuable to bring us closer to our Creator.
Once we do all the growth required we return to heaven and serve our Creator as Spirit guides, angels and the like.
It is very important what you do in each lifetime. It will all come into play when you go HOME.

If it's an illusion or a dream, whose dream is it? It's certainly not yours, because if it was, I'd be asking you to make sure I win the lottery so I can stop commuting two hours a day to my crappy job. :-) No, the universe is real, even if it's only real in the "Cogito, ergo sum" way. (I think, therefore I am.)
It helps if you recognize that even though it seems infinite to us, there's a more than likely a stopping point somewhere out there. There may be separate universes apart from our own elsewhere that we have no knowledge of, but we do know a bit about ours. For example, it's 13.7 billion years old. Given the age of our own planet and solar system (4.5 billion years,) that's a pretty young universe.
My personal theory is that the universe is in an eternal loop, beginning with a Big Bang and the expansion of matter and ending with a reversal of the same process, as all the matter in the universe squeezes itself into such a tiny volume that a violent reaction occurs (another Big Bang,) starting the cycle over again. My guess is that this process takes at least 100 billion years, and probably much more. Consider yourself in on the ground floor of this universe!
This theory helps to explain why mankind has not yet encountered concrete evidence of the existence of extraterrestrial intelligence despite the apparent vastness of the universe. If it takes 4.5 billion years on average for a planet to develop intelligent life, we're.only part of this universe's third generation, to put it in general terms.

You kinda sound like Descartes. You should watch the 1st Matrix movie.
You may think the world is just a dream, if your philosophy is based on subjectivity alone. The reality is that there is a world outside of ourselves that we live in. It is not a dream. If you can remember your dreams, you might recall that most of the time you can tell that you are in a dream and you eventually wake up. Also in dreams, you can sometimes control how some of the people act and how some of the events happen, but in this real world you cannot control people and you cannot control how events happen.

Every person must come to terms with the 'reality' he discerns following birth. This will differ according to the culture and period of history he experiences. Most 'realities' are cages that are created to protect and give a framework for thought. By all means think for yourself but do not kid yourself you have any of the answers. So, after man has been on this planet (or off it) for a few more thousands of years he might be getting closer to finding some of the truths that are currently out of his reach.

Whether or not it's a dream, I seem to have no control over anything except for my actions and reactions. (and limited control even over those) There is so much we do not know. This leads me to faith that there is a creator who is far superior in knowledge than me. It makes me think there must be a concept of eternity-in space and in time, and this concept is larger than I can imagine.

the only real ability of helping others upward push out of soreness and suffering is to make your man or woman religious ascent. changing the international starts off with your self. on an analogous time we ought to stay and artwork on the actual point and so we ought to provide our bodies what's needed, and those in our environment could be considered as an extension of our self and if there's a want, we help if we can. We ought to guard our environment in an attempt to have a suitable place to artwork up from. to respond to question A: sure that's not consumer-friendly to witness people's suffering its because of the fact we are in charge to do something, yet that something is to attend our inner variations in direction of spirituality. as quickly as we alter for the extra useful it impacts all others around us for the extra useful. to respond to question B: We merely have an impediment to religious ascent as quickly as we expect of we can exchange something on the point of this international. we can use the occasion of mum and dad elevating young little ones as an analogy for a thank you to handle others illusions. mum and dad elevating sons and daughters tell the little ones what they ought to to help the baby advance up. This includes healthful physique, healthful studying environment, a worthwhile objective, some self-discipline and sparkling obstacles. mum and dad furnish objectives that attraction to the baby, yet because of the fact the baby grows the objective will exchange to a minimum of something extra state-of-the-artwork until eventually it is going to become the optimal superb objective that gets them to the religious treasure. mum and dad understand from the initiating what the top objective would be, yet they provide the baby merely what gets him for the period of the subsequent step so he can and could take the step. we can help others get to the initiating of their very own direction as much as we've some religious understand-how. people on a non secular direction then help one yet another and proceed together. in actuality, it quite is critical artwork with others this way so your progression could be selfless and easily for the sake of your companions. we don't lose the real we've attained yet we can be a tension of the real at artwork interior the international to the degree that we attain it and the extra we can permit unfastened this tension interior the international from the movements interior of our coronary heart (that's above this international) the extra we attain wholeness. Buddha and Christ observed via each and every thing to the top wholeness. we can and could do what they did too and extra.

It's so fun to think like that! I can let my mind wander about in this question for a good long while.
Maybe we do see our own birth, but forget--like we do all our early experiences. Maybe we do see our own death, but since we can't tell anybody about it... well then.

Pinch yourself. Then pinch yourself in a dream. Which one is real???
God made everything and each one of our souls too.
We go through this life once only!!!
This life is a test. Believe in God or not. Follow His commandments or not. When we go to God when we die, it is our souls that must each face God for Judgement.
God will permanently destroy bad souls and there will be no tears in Heaven.
How's that for reality???
Good luck and may God bless you.

Yes, you make sense...
...and actually you are right. Your point of view is not far from how "the biggest of them all" sees Himself.
