I'm sure the team would have loved to see him come back just to DH half the season. God knows that we could have used a decent DH when we found out that Hillenbrand was a bust.

Nah. Besides, his career has a slightly more interesting story by being The Guy Who Didn't Hit 300 than The Guy Who Ended His Career By Hitting 300.
