I need help identifying my snake. It was sold to me as a Burmese Python but I believe it to be a Ball Python. Any help? Link to the pic is here: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=229979018&albumID=0&imageID=5086823

i bought it from a friend who sold it to me as a burmese for 75 bucks. he got it from another friend who is well-known for lying through his teeth...so it could be a tree frog for that matter...

yeah, that's DEFINITELY a ball python. burmese pythons are ususally really expensive (at pet shops here, they're about 130 dollars for a baby), and if you paid that much, you should report the person who sold it to you to the better business bureau. Ball pythons are sweet, but certainly cheaper and less exotic than burmese.

these are burmese markings

the difference is a little subtle, but you can notice it.
