Iraq didn't attack America. It was, at least i'm told on the news and by my govt officials, a handful of saudis committed mass murder on 9/11.

Ron Paul wanted to introduce a letter of marque and reprisal (see u.s. consitutition).

A Letter of Marque and Reprisal is an official warrant or commission from a national government authorizing the designated agent to search, seize, or destroy specified assets or personnel belonging to a party which has committed some offense under the laws of nations against the assets or citizens of the issuing nation.

im truly amazed ron paul supporters are that naive. the kurds, native tribesmen of iraq didnt have much of a choice. you see they were being ethnicly cleansed from iraq by saddam when the us went to war in iraq. the choice for them is simple...alive with us soldiers, or dead with saddam. with that in mind what would they protect themselves "from"? clearly they are more in danger by out of control liberal policy than any us soldier.

Other than the fact that its a nutty idea--it is one more evidence that Ron Paul isn't qualified to be dogcatcher, much less President. Letters of marque and reprisal were banned long ago by international treaty and law--and the United States is signatory.

Yes. We ARE the invaders. Before the US took over Iraq, there was safe water to drink, electricity, and an economy.
Also day to day routine was not such a terrifying danger for the average person. The sooner we let them have their civil war and go home the better. Then we can start paying war repariations.

As far as it goes goes every body has a right to defend themselves and their property from any one in this world. It is a basic human right. It seems to America who seems to think it has God given right to destroy nation under the guise of terrorism. I hope and pray the day is not too far away for these morons Bush and who ever was in favor of this act of aggression to be tried with illegal war on Iraq and more so murder of hundreds of thousands innocent people
