I hope you aren't knocking this program, because McDonald's is one of the few places that hires mentally challenged individuals, and yes, they get paid the same wage as everyone else. And yes, typically, they are the sweetest, nicest, most polite employees McD has. Managers that have them as employees, value them highly.

That's WHY there is a minimum wage. They HAVE to pay them that much. Sometimes the folks won't even know how much that is, because they can't count.

I worked with a guy who could BARELY count and certainly wasn't checking his pay-stub every week to see if the company had held back on him. He was a very hard worker and a nice guy but not terribly good when it came to numbers.

IT IS NOT A KICK BACK, IT IS A FEDERAL PROGRAM FOR THE DISADVANTAGED, HANDICAPPED AND LEARNING DISABLED TO HAVE A JOB AND A FEELING OF SELF WORTH. DO NOT KNOW IF EACH LOCAL ACENGY MAKES A DETERMINATION AS TO WHO IS WHAT AND MC DONALDS HIRES ON ADVICE FROM COUNSELORS??
