Historically high birth rates coincide with a social acceptance of homosexuality. If this were not the case then Asian countries, like China and Japan, would also have the lowest population. Since a check of the current number of single mothers in the U.S. make it clear there is no correlation between marriage and pregnancy rate, any changes in the marriage laws would have no effect. The only way to slow overpopulation would be through widespread birth control and changes in social attitudes, both of which are opposed by the same people who oppose gay marriage.

The greatest argument for Gay Marriage is a little understood concept. This idea is not only little understood it is feared by so many. The concept must be avoided by most people and is condemned by both government and the organized church.
One would think that such overpowering opposition to a concept would be sufficient for all peoples to successfully avoid indulgence in such folly but sadly, it appears not to be sufficient.
The concept, to avoided at all costs, is called Gedanken, in German or simply…”thought” in English
Physicists identify but four basic forces in relativistic and quantum physics combined. Obviously they, being scientists and therefore condemned to a fundamentalist hell, have overlooked the one all powerful force responsible for so many taboos and ‘Ya better not do’s’,
This force is the reason we cannot and should not have Gay Marriage.
So, what are the actual FIVE basic forces?
We are all familiar with the fore physics has identified. The strong and the weak in the nucleus ( sorry, if you are a Bush supporter that would be Nuke-you-lus) of the atom, electromagnetism and gravity.
The fifth, all powerful, overcoming force is the reason against Gay Marriage = ignorance.
We’d best not underestimate it like them thar fickicks, uh, fipsic, uh ffypicks, uh, folks what done went ta school and learned all kinds of godless thangs.
Down with Gay Marriage and up wif ignorance; the armor of the uninformed.

No. Gay Marriage wouldn't have a big an effect on population. Gays that accept their sexually and want to get married weren't going to have kids in any case and deniers like Senator Craig who get married and have kids aren't going to be changed by legal Gay marriage -- and I don't think they are a major factor in overpolpulation at any rate.

No, the greatest argument is that people have the right to live their lives, including marry who they want to marry.

Makes a mockery of male and female gender. Gay was supposed to mean being happy not sexually perverted.

It is one argument, but I wouldn't call it the greatest. Gay marraige should be legal simply because it should be legal for people to marry the partner of their choice.

So what does being gay & married have to do with it? Marriage is primarily for procreation & raising a family...no need for it otherwise.
