Is it really the Wests worth to keep Israel or a Jewish state in the middle east? I mean we defeated Hitler but did we really have to give them a state & throw out native Palestians of their land & pee off the Arabs? I mean without the oil the Arabs are just another region of the world who want to get on with life. Do we really have to antagonise them for a bunch of people who think they 'are better than anyone else' as God's choosen people. Money talks but it is sick. I would rather see the Jews as nomads rather than the Palestians.

You forget the Jews can also claim it was their holy land. If you don't understand or know the history of the Jews and their persecution long before even WWII then you need to do some research. I don't blame them at all for being the military state they must be. If I was Jewish I wouldn't trust anybody or any country to be concerned with my rights or accept me completely. Even here in the States we have people who rail against the Jews all the time. They have good reason, to say the least, to be where they are and protect themselves the way they do. It isn't that they think they are better than anyone else, they just know their own history and consequently know murderous persecution is always closer than anybody would want to believe. If WWII seems like ancient history to you keep in mind there are many who are still alive from that period and don't even have to rely on previous history to know they must always be vigilant from now on.

This is a very complicated and sensitive situation, and there is not easy answer - if there was, don't you think something would have been done about it by now? While I do agree that the West turns a blind eye to many of the atrocities commited by Israel against the Palestinians, no-one is ever going to sanction invading Isreal, it just isn't going to happen there are too many vested interests, for example, having a friend in the Middle East is very important to the West. And you can't just brush the holocaust under the carpet like that either, it's too recent and too appalling to do that.

i have to say that i agree. i don't see what right we had to do that and i think its time to take a good look at an alternative for the sake of world peace. the trouble is, every time you say anything the Israelis don't want to hear! they bring out the holocaust card in much the same way as immigrants use the racist card. in the middle east! the Israeli's only have themselves to blame because they have been pushing bullying and stealing land by force ever since they were put there. and then! to prevent the Palestinians from using the holiest of holy places was frankly the last straw for the Arabs. Israel has had sixty years to play by the book and stop stealing land that does not belong to them. its time they were made to tow the line at! the very least. the trouble is!...even if the Israeli's did! tow the line, you have to ask your self. would the Palestinians. i suppose it depends how badly every one wants peace. we should go back to the map of Israel drawn out in 1948 and make the Israeli's draw back to its original borders and see if that does the trick.

Hmmm, I think Ill have to make a list for you: 1. PETA, hypocrites (dont want pet ownership but run a slaughterhouse of a pet shelter where they do adopt out pets once in a blue moon)- I do everything I can to prove that their hearts are in most of the right place but they have alot of extremists and extremist (IMHO) views. 2. BSL, in areas where its in effect they are starting to use labs and other non-targeted breeds instead. I have something up my sleeve but I dont want my idea stolen, Im in the process of contacting people for it. 3. BYB, I hate seeing the puppies put down because they will never walk because someone bred fluffy and bruno who both had worse than poor hips and their puppies dont have any at all, if theyd have been tested there never would have been a problem because they would have been fixed. If the owners actually test for genetic issues I say go for it but if not do the puppies a favour and fix the dogs. 4. Puppy Mills, I argue with Petland employees about how horrible they are. At the local Petland where I live some of my friends worked there and told another friend not to buy a Yorkie puppy because it had a brain tumor and was going to die soon. 5. Mandatory S/N, they dont enforce it for stupid people why enforce it for the only people who will listen, the responsible ones. 6. In specific, Labrador BYBs, Ive been reading more and more often of these dogs having aggression/"snapping" problems. They are being bred to ignore pain and fear which is a horrible idea, I actually think that the puppies being produced have a form of "doggie" autism, people are saying that Fido is randomly snapping then again if I was autistic and some kid pulled my tail really hard and I didnt know what to do Id probably freak too. This may sound extreme but if you search for Lab Aggression you will get alot of help forums and articles on "fear" biting but I dont think it is because they are supposed to be too friendly to fear things... good Lab breeders ^^ dont seem to have those problems

Israel was created by the UN so it will always be protected by them, however on its creation the state of Israel was allocated 52% of Palestine but ethnic cleansing took place and the Jewish settlers took more and more and fired on British troops trying to stop them. The Israelis at any excuse bring up the holocaust however never mention the other victims of the holocaust which really is holocaust denial also they get very insulted if the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians is mentioned and will accuse you of being anti semetic and anti Israel. They do believe they are a superior race who cannot be criticised so along with creating Israel the UN also created this!

the situation should never have risen, but the damage is done so now the only real chance of peace is a compromise. Both the Palestinians and the Israelis need to have their own countries which are recognised by the rest of the world. Israel is doing nothing to help find a peaceful solution. For all our sakes that must change

well your point is well written but i think slightly misplaced.
the problem you seek to correct will simply start another even bigger. so long as the west needs the oil it needs a close and tough ally in the area . so no matter your opinion on this issue it will not change so long as america has an unflinching ally in isreael..

if israel ever puts the USA off to the side of just tells them to PEE_ off as you put it . then you may see israel in trouble when the USA allies with some other arab nation to keep control of oil..

i guess what im saying is. nothing will change untill America is either out of the no#1 spot or if it changes its policy to the middleast or if it finaly finds a permanat alternate source of power to fuel its war machine

Well, if it weren't for the U.S., the world would long ago have begun pressuring Israel to clean up its human rights act.

I don't think Israeli Jews should be forced to become nomads; I think they just need to accept that the Palestinians have a right to live, too.

And they need to abide by the prohibitions against crimes against humanity.

Well, I'm not a particular fan of the Israelis (not an enemy of them either), but they were in Israel in biblical times, same as the Palestinians. So saying "we gave them a state" doesn't sit too well when you know the facts.

I think they just need to learn to get along with each other, like the rest of us have to do.

It is a lot more complicated, but if you want to search it more it is a very interesting story but try to read things from all sides.
